All of our scented personal care items use either 1) essential oils 2) naturally-derived flavors or 3) synthetics — and our goal is to make scents as functional, safe, and non-irritating to noses and skin as possible.
However, because our custom scents are proprietary, you may notice the term “fragrance/perfume” and “flavor/aroma” on our ingredient list, even for products that are fragranced by essential oils or naturally-derived ingredients. This is an industry-required label we use to protect the intellectual property behind our signature scents — not to hide unsafe ingredients.
And although “fragrance/perfume” and “flavor/aroma” can cover a wide range of ingredients, each one is rigorously tested and regulated for consumer safety. Plus, we go the extra step to ensure all of our fragrances (whether essential oil, natural, or synthetic) meet the IFRA standards of safe use. For added confidence, all of our fragrances (regardless of formulation) are third-party tested and registered — because using safe ingredients in safe ways is important to us.

hand soap
Unlike liquid hand soaps that use a lot of water to make or bulky bar soaps (that use a lot of energy to ship), our waterless powdered hand soap is individually-wrapped in 100% dissolvable packaging that disappears without a trace and has a lighter carbon footprint than traditional soap.
Each packet includes enough powder for one wash. To use, open packet with dry hands. Pour powder into your hand. Drop empty packet into sink to dissolve under running water. Rub a little warm water into the powder, adding more until a rich lather forms. Then simply wash, rinse, and go!
Our dissolvable hand soap is made with gentle, biodegradable ingredients including hydrating, plant-powered glycerin and coconut oil.

deodorant
To put it super simply: anti-perspirant is anti-sweat and natural deodorant is pro-sweat.
Anti-perspirant uses things like aluminum to clog sweat ducts and stop sweat from happening.
That sounds great until you realize that sweat is actually good! It's our body's way of naturally cooling down and is super important to help get rid of toxins.
Instead of blocking sweat, our natural deodorant embraces it.
One of the best formulas around, it uses a simple, hardworking ingredients to absorb excess moisture, soothe skin, and neutralize tough odors — all without aluminum, baking soda, talc, or icky clumps and white marks.
Plus, an easy-twist design and gender neutral scents are made for everyone to feel fresh and feel good.
If you've been using an antiperspirant, we highly (highly!) recommend detoxing your underarms before making the switch to natural deodorant.
Because antiperspirants work by blocking sweat ducts and pores, you'll need to remove all that gunk and reset your body's natural chemistry to get the most out of your natural deodorant.
To detox your underarms, we recommend going bare (yep, no natural deodorant, no antiperspirant, nothing!) for one to two weeks and exfoliate the area daily with a natural fiber scrubber. Yes, the process can be wet and stinky, but hang in there, the transition to natural deodorant will be worth it!
Once you've made the switch, always apply natural deodorant to clean, dry underarms (it won't be as effective on damp skin) and reapply as needed throughout the day for extra freshness.
Always apply deodorant to clean, dry skin. Damp skin will make it less effective! You may also want to reapply throughout the day for extra freshness.
But! If you're making the switch from antiperspirant to natural deodorant, you'll need to do a detox first! You can read more about that in the question above.
Our deodorant uses simple, hardworking ingredients to help you feel good about your sweat. Made without aluminum, baking soda, talc, triclosan, or phthalates, our deodorant's star plant-powered ingredients include:
- Plant-based enzymes derived from natural sugarcane using advanced fermentation technology, neutralize tough odors
- Tapioca starch naturally absorbs sweat and moisture
- Glycerin smooths skin and reduces irritation
- Panthenol / Vitamin B5 adds moisture
With that being said, your health and safety is important to us! For any health or allergy concerns, please review each product's full ingredient list (available on the product page) with your healthcare provider or physician before using. Nope! Our deodorant uses a simple formula that's free from aluminum, baking soda, talc, parabens, triclosan, and phthalates.
Nope! We use a water-based formula that glides on smooth without any white marks or clumps.
Have you ever noticed that other natural deodorants stop working after a few months of use? We noticed it also and decided to make a formula that not only actually works, but keeps working, too.
Made to work with your body (not against it), our deodorant’s plant-powered formula skips build-up causing ingredients like aluminum, baking soda, and talc — and uses shower-friendly tapioca starch, advanced technology to neutralize odors (instead of masking or trapping them), and active fragrances that react to your body temperature so you can stay fresh every time, for as long as you’re using the deodorant.
For best results, we recommend a 1 to 2 week detox (that means zero deodorant or antiperspirant and gently exfoliating each day) to get rid of any other products’ build-up before making the switch to our natural deodorant. Then, because our formula resists hard-to-remove build up (even from natural, non-aluminum ingredients), a light wash and scrub during your bath and shower is all you need to remove our formula from your underarms. And of course, always apply (and reapply) to clean, dry underarms.
Yes!
The outside container can be recycled and is made with 100% compostable and biodegradable FSC-certified paper that's responsibly harvested from well-managed forests.
Only a small piece of plastic is used to minimize waste and protect the deodorant from falling out (which helps it last longer so you buy and use less).

hand sanitizer
All of our personal care items are made in the USA by a woman-owned manufacturer in a socially and environmentally responsible factory.
Yes! All of our personal care items are always cruelty free.
We're doing good by keeping hands (and the planet!) clean. Our hand sanitizer features a durable, reusable plastic shell and features forever-recyclable glass and aluminum refill vials to minimize single-use plastic waste.
To refill, simply twist spray bottle open. Then, pull the empty vial out of the container. Remove the spray cap and twist it onto the new refill. Place the new refill vial (with spray cap!) into the reusable container and twist closed. Watch the how-to video here.
Don't forget to recycle the empty glass vial and aluminum cap to keep a good thing going!
Our hand sanitizer is non-greasy, fast-absorbing and designed to leave your hands feeling smooth and hydrated. Free of parabens or synthetic fragrances, it's powered by four plant-based ingredients:
- 70% ethyl alcohol made from sugarcane
- Glycerin
- Aloe vera juice
- A fragrance blend made with lemon, bergamot, sandalwood essential oils
With that being said, your health and safety is important to us! For any health or allergy concerns, please review each product's full ingredient list (available on the product page) with your healthcare provider or physician before using. Please note that although all of our personal care products are manufactured in a FDA-registered and GMP-certified facility in the US with established allergen control and awareness programs, it is a shared facility that may process other ingredients and allergens.
Yes. Derived from sugarcane, our hand sanitizer uses 70% ethyl alcohol as an antiseptic to eliminate 99.9% of the most common germs and bacteria based on testing performed using ASTEM E2315 Standard.
Made for everyone, Malibu uses lemon, bergamot, and sandalwood essential oils to give it a light, citrusy scent that quickly fades to neutral.
Although it is fragranced with essential oils (not synthetics), we still use the industry-required term “Fragrance (Perfume)” on our ingredient list to protect our proprietary signature blends.
For added confidence, all of our fragrances (regardless of formulation) are third-party tested and meet IFRA standards for safe use.
Unlike regular pump and spray bottles that use watered down formulas (and require a LOT of product to work), our hand sanitizer delivers a highly concentrated formula fine mist spray to cover more area with less product. You only need one or two spritzes to sanitize each hand — a little goes a long way.
Nope! Our hand sanitizer uses plant-based glycerin and aloe vera juice to keep your hands healthy, happy, and hydrated.
Yep! With plant-based ingredients (including hydrating glycerin, aloe vera juice, and 70% ethyl alcohol derived from sugarcane), our hand sanitizer eliminates 99.9% of the most common germs and bacteria* and has a light, essential-oil based scent that fades to neutral.
However, it does contain alcohol, so you should supervise children under 6 years of age to make sure they don’t swallow it — and we do not recommend using it on children under 2 months.

storage bags
Our biodegradable storage bags come in several sizes — and sturdy enough to be re-used!
Small:11.5cmx10cm/4.5inx3.9in
Tall: 24cm x 9cm / 9.5in x 3.5in
Medium:16.5cm x 15cm / 6.5in x 5.87in
Large:32cm x25cm /12.6in x9.8in
Our storage bags are made with certifiable compostable materials and won’t hang around for centuries like traditional plastic. They are fully biodegradable(with zero microplastics!) in landfills and industrial or home compost(may take up to 12 months for full decomposition). So, please dispose of them responsibly(don’t litter or recycle!). For industrial composting, the materials used in our bags meets both ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 standards.
Our storage bags are disposable and biodegradable and will slowly degrade over time (though they won’t fully decompose until they’re composted or in a landfill). That’s why, for best performance, we recommend using them within 6 months of purchase.
But, they are also sturdy enough for re-use, so rinse and air dry for an encore!
Our storage bags shouldn’t be microwaved or used with liquid or contents over 158° F / 70°C.
Nope! Glacier Bay is BPA free.
Yes and no! They look and function just like traditional disposable plastic storage bags. But that's about all they have in common. A bit thicker than most traditional plastic bags, our storage bags are made with re-use in mind — and are 100% biodegradable in the landfill or compost. However, because our bags won't last for hundreds of years like traditional storage bags (hooray!), we recommend using them within 6 months of purchase for best performance.
tote bags
Our biodegradable tote bag is sturdy enough for re-use and measures (without handles) 15.4in / 39cm (height), 11.4in / 29 cm (width), and 3.5in / 9cm (depth).
Just like our Glacier Bay storage bags, our Serengeti tote bags are made with certifiable compostable materials and won’t hang around for centuries like traditional plastic. They are fully biodegradable (with zero micro plastics) in landfills and industrial or home compost (may take up to 12 months for full decomposition). So, please dispose of them responsibly (don’t litter or recycle!).

Our tote bags are disposable and biodegradable and will degrade over time. That’s why, for best performance, we recommend using them within 6 months of purchase.
Yes! Each Serengeti starter set comes iwth biodegradable tote bags and one reusable and reflective shoulder strap (just snap it on and off). You can buy extra tote bags separately either via.the refill set or through a subscription to save 10% on each order.
Serengeti tote bags are not resealable and should not be microwaved or used with any sort of contents or liquid over 70℉ / 21°C.
Nope!
Yes and no! They look and function a lot like traditional disposable plastic shopping bags. But unlike plastic bags or synthetic textiles, these tote bags are 100% biodegradable in landfill or compost and won’t leave any micro-plastics behind. However, because our bags won’t last for hundreds of years like traditional storage bags (hooray!), we recommend using them within 6 months of purchase for best performance.
everyday masks
Yes! 2-ply and cloth masks have large weaves, less layers, and less testing — making their protection less consistent and trusted.
Your health is important. That’s why our everyday masks have a comfy and stylish fit — but also meet strict guidelines for filtration, splash resistance, and breathability.
Our everyday masks use multi-layer technology (including meltblown filters) and are both Type IIR certified and third-party tested by SGS and Nelson so you can feel confident about their filtration: >98% BFE, >98% VFE, and >95% PFE for our adult masks and >95% BFE, >98% VFE, and >90% PFE in our kids' masks (to allow for max breathability).
Those three letters (and percentages next to them!) are super important.
They mean Particle Filtration Efficiency, Bacterial Filtration Efficiency, and Viral Filtration Efficiency. These are tested measurements of how effective a mask filters particles, viruses, and bacteria. Basically, the higher the number the better the protection.
But to get more technical, PFE measures how well a mask’s materials can resist penetration of particles at sub-micron levels and BFE measures how well a mask can resists the penetration of bacteria. Same with VFE and viruses.
These percentages tell us how well the mask's filter performs and are required for certain types of certifications. For example, PFE is a required test for KN95 masks and both PFE and BFE are required for medical masks.
VFE is a much less common test and not something that is required, but we thought it was important to go the extra mile to give you even more peace of mind.
For us, health and safety has always been number one. That's why all of our masks are third party tested by SGS and Nelson and are made in a FDA-registered factory that’s long-specialized in PPE production for government, hospitals, and healthcare providers. And why we're committed to quality, always!
All of our masks are made in a responsible FDA-registered factory that has long-specialized in PPE manufacturing. Plus, we've gone the extra mile to have our masks tested by SGS and Nelson, world leaders in third-party consumer product testing.
Our masks are also Certified Type IIR, a proven indicator of high breathability, excellent splash resistance and superior filtration. SGS has also certified our kids’ decals as non-toxic.
Yes! Whether you’re facing poor air quality or trying your best to stay (and keep others) healthy, our everyday masks are third-party tested to effectively filter bacteria, viruses, dust, pollen, smoke, and debris.
You can find the tested filtration percentage on the product page!
Detailed construction information is available on each mask’s product page, but here’s a quick summary:
Our everyday masks are SGS- and Nelson-tested and use multi-layer technology (a moisture-absorbing interior, splash resistant exterior, and a meltblown center) to keep out bacteria, allergens, and pollution.
Each layer is made out of 100% polypropylene for superior filtration and comfort. The adjustable nose bridge is composed of 65% ironwire and 35% polyethylene and our soft, no-tug ear loops are made out of 84.5% nylon and 15.5% spandex.
We only use medical-grade, hypoallergenic and latex-free materials so even the most sensitive skin is protected. Our masks are also 100% free from toxins, graphene, and biographene.
Yep! In fact, we’re the go-to mask for makeup artists and stylists thanks to our skin-loving material and high breathability. We know that cloth masks can cause issues for sensitive skin when they aren’t breathable enough or washed daily — so our masks are both hypoallergenic and latex free to minimize irritation for even the most sensitive skin.
Yep! There’s a lightweight metal nose bridge inside every mask. Simply press on it to gently shape it to your nose; or for a more polished look, fold the entire mask in half (including the nose bridge!) to create a sharp crease before wearing.
Adult: 6.89in x 3.74in / 17.5cm x 9.5cm
Kids: 5.71in x 3.74in / 14.5cm x 9.5cm
With generous pleating, stretchy ear loops, and an adjustable nose bridge, our everyday masks are made for a universal fit. However, universal doesn’t mean everyone, so you may want to customize the fit of your mask. For a slightly smaller fit, we recommend gently knotting the ends of each ear loop. For a slightly larger fit, gently stretch the ear loop. Pull the ear loop gently and pinch where the ear loop is fused to the mask to prevent separating the ear loop from the mask!
Finding a stylish mask that fits petite faces is tough, but our kids' masks are a great solution for people with petite faces and are made with the same materials and the same minimalist style as our adult masks!
Our kids’ everyday masks are made in a FDA-registered factory using the same high-performing materials as our adult masks — just in a smaller size that fits most 3 to 10 year olds.
Like our adult masks, they offer SGS- and Nelson-tested protection and are Certified Type IIR.
Plus, they even come with free mask decals so kids can show off their creativity!
These masks are designed (and tested!) as single-use, disposable face masks. Things like length of use, exposure to contaminants, and washing can degrade the mask’s materials and meltblown filter, reducing its protective power.
The testing on our masks ensures max protection up to 8-10 hours with proper care — which means keeping your mask clean during that time by washing your hands before use and storing it in a mask keeper (no more dirty pockets or consoles) when you take it off throughout the day.
With that said, we know everyone has different use cases and comfort zones, so trust your own judgment to wear and care for your mask in a way that makes sense for you!
We stamp global coordinates on each of our products as a reminder we're all connected no matter our gender, race, religion, or where we live. You can read more about each product's coordinates on its product page!
Mask keepers are exactly what they sound like — a simple way to keep your mask clean when you’re out and about (no more stashing masks in dirty purses and pockets). Each everyday medical mask set comes with one or two plant-based mask keepers (or you can buy additional mask keepers separately) — and they are awesome. Simply lay your mask flat on top of the mask keeper, fold per the instructions, and then loop the mask’s ear loops around its notches to secure. Voila! A pocket-sized carrier for on-the-go storage to keep your everyday medical mask c-l-e-a-n.
Ready to get in on the fun with our non-toxic, mask-friendly decals? Let’s go! First things first, wash your hands and then lay your mask on the paper mat to keep your mask clean while you get crafty. Next, choose which decals you want to use and cut them out. Peel off the decal’s protective backing and place each decal sticky side down on the mask — and then use the wooden stick to rub your heart out! Once you’ve transferred the decal, peel away the paper to reveal your creation.
KN95 masks
All of our masks are third-party tested and made in a FDA-registered factory with high-performing, hypoallergenic materials free from toxins, graphene, and biographene — and they all have a minimal style that's lightweight, breathable, and comfortable.
However, KN95 masks have unique regulations — for example, they must have a secure fit (which creates a tighter seal on the face) which is why they fit differently than our everyday masks. KN95s also are required to filter 95% of particles.
Our KN95 has upgraded features like two meltblown filters for double filtration and a flat, easy-to-wear profile. It’s the mask we like to wear when we are spending a lot of time in crowded indoor spaces (like traveling) and fighting off intense allergies or heavy air pollution (like heavy smog or wildfires). They are SGS-tested and, in addition to a more secure fit, offer proven >95% PFE, >95% BFE, and >98% VFE.
Everyday masks our go-to for everyday stuff like working out or running errands. They have a more relaxed fit than our KN95, and are made at least three layers and a single meltblown filter to keep out bacteria, viruses, allergens, and pollution.
YES! — our KN95 masks meet all government-required standards, use authentic, high-performing materials, are made in an FDA-registered factory that has long specialized in personal protective equipment, and are even third-party tested.
KN95 masks made after July 1, 2021 must be stamped with its GB number (GB2626-2019).
If you purchased a KN95 mask after May 1, 2022, you can find this number near the exterior seam of mask's lowest section (the part that covers your chin).
For masks purchased before May 1, 2022, you will find the number printed on the package!
In terms of NIOSH approval, KN95 standards are a bit different than what you’ll see required for N95s because they are different types of masks regulated by two different governments. While both deliver similar >95% filtration, KN95s meet standards set by the Chinese government(i.e.,ear loops, GB number printed on the package) and N95 masks meet standards set NIOSH/the US government(i.e.,head straps, GB number printed on the mask). A KN95 mask cannot be NIOSH approved because NIOSH is a US regulatory body that only applies to N95 masks.
Your health and wellbeing has always been our number one priority, and that starts with making authentic, performance-tested masks that you can trust. It’s why we even go the extra step of having our KN95 masks tested by SGS(aworld leader in third-party testing) — and are always happy to share that documentation with you upon request!
With clean hands, lift the two flaps on the inside of the mask and gently stretch them over your chin and nose. Then, press around your nose to adjust the hidden nose bridge and create a more customized fit!
SGS, a world leader in consumer testing, has verified that our KN95 masks effectively filter >95% of 0.075 micron particles (NaCL 30/L min).
In addition to this PFE requirement, our KN95 masks are also tested by SGS to filter >95% of bacteria (BFE) and >98% of viruses (VFE)!
Our KN95 masks are disposable — although they can be worn for up to two days with proper care and use. Things like length of use, exposure to contaminants, and washing can degrade our masks's materials and meltblown filter, and reduce its protective power. Always wash your hands before touching, use the reusable storage pouch to keep it clean when not in use, and dispose of your mask properly after the recommended time.
Adult KN95: 8.27in x 3.27in / 21cm x 8.3cm
Kids' KN95: 7.1in x 2.6in / 18cm x 6.5cm
While we recommend you consult your doctor for any medical or health advice, we’re happy to share that for the average person who’s job doesn't require a specific mask (like a healthcare worker), N95 and KN95 masks are quite similar — both have a snug fit and use multiple layers to filter out >95% of outside particles.
The main differences are in their looks (KN95s can fold flat and have ear loops, N95s are more structured and use elastic strings to wrap around your head) and in their regulation (KN95s are regulated by the Chinese government and N95s by the US).
We make all of our masks in a FDA-registered factory, and are third party tested by SGS, world leaders in consumer product testing.
In addition to a secure fit, our adult KN95 masks have upgraded features like six layers (including two meltblown filters for double filtration) and a flat, modern profile (no duck face!), making it our go-to for traveling, being in crowded indoor spaces, or fighting off intense allergies or heavy air pollution.
No — mask keepers work best with our everyday masks. But never fear! Each KN95 pack comes with one reusable and biodegradable storage pouch that's made especially for on-the-go use.
water bottle
Our water bottle is made by in Switzerland by SIGG, who has been making high-quality water bottles for over 110 years. In fact, two of their water bottles are even on permanent display in the Museum of Modern Art!
Our water bottle is made in Switzerland by SIGG using a single piece of high-quality, nearly indestructible aluminum and features a durable plastic lid. Its interior is coated with a food safe, non-toxic liner that resists fruit acids and keeps your water tasting fresh!
Yes! Our water bottle is non-toxic, food-safe, and free of any pollutants. It is made with forever-recyclable aluminum (although you’ll want to keep it forever) and is 100% BPA-free.
Small: 13.5oz / 0.4 liter
Large: 33.8oz / 1 liter
Opening (both sizes): 1.25in / 3.175cm
Because our water bottle is not insulated, we don’t recommend hot beverages. However, it is great for many other types of drinks besides water including acidic drinks, sparkling drinks, milk, alcohol, apple and even lemon juice! However, avoid leaving drinks with natural fermentation processes (such as milk) inside the bottle for long periods of time, as the fermentation can produce strong gases and smells which can be tough to get rid of.
We recommend cleaning your bottle regularly by hand. Rinse out the bottle and bottle top with hot water after every use, leave open to dry, and always store it with the top off.

Great question! Instead of traditional boxes that require a lot more space to ship (and have a higher carbon footprint), our products come in 100% biodegradable pouches that fully decompose in landfills and industrial or home compost (just don't litter or recycle!). They are also food-safe, waterproof, and reusable, too!
Our mailer (what the product gets shipped in) is bubbled to protect product and minimize waste en route, comes with dual peel-and-seal for reuse, made with 50% recycled materials, and is 100% #4 recyclable.
Please don't litter or recycle with regular plastic: #4 recycling can be found at most major grocery stores and big box chains!
