Found where the tropical Andes meets the Amazonian basin, Manú National Park’s 1.7 million hectare acres are filled with pristine and complex biodiversity including the Andean Puna grasslands, mountain cloud forests, Yunga forests, and lowland rainforests. Long home to indigenous peoples, the park is divided into private areas for native communities and researchers and public areas for ecological recovery, recreation, and tourism.
