The numbers on these masks are the global coordinates of the Kalahari Desert’s Tsodilo Hills in Botswana — a reminder that we’re all connected no matter our gender, race, religion, or where we live.

The Tsodilo Hills are massive quartzite rock formations in the Kalahari Desert that provided critical shelter and resources to people for over 100,000 years. Today, rock paintings that seem to span from the Stone Age to the 19th century can still be seen in its shelters and caves.

how to recycle your masks

• Cut off ear loops and recycle with textiles.
• Cut around the seam and remove the non-recyclable meltblown filter. Place the filter in trash.
• Recycle the inner and outer layer with plastic recycling (if your local recycling rules allow).
• If you can’t recycle your mask, cut the ear loops before disposing and please don’t litter.
